Airtel has launched 4G services in Bangalore, but limited it to those using the latest Apple iPhones, the 5c and the 5s. India’s largest private telecom operator, says its services will enable users in India’s tech capital to stream high definition video with zero buffering. while these are 4G services, the Apple iPhone users have the added advantage of having to pay only 3G rates for the same.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; padding: 0px 0px 15px;">
Customers will have to upgrade to a 4G SIM to enjoy the higher speeds, but will not have to change their existing data plan, Airtel said. The company claims the speeds will be so fast that you can download 10 movies in less than 30 minutes and use the wi-fi hotspot features in these phones effectively connecting multiple devices to the network.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; padding: 0px 0px 15px;">
Customers on 2G/GPRS data plans/packs can opt for any of the 3G plans/packs available and enjoy 4G speeds, Airtel said. For heavy data users there is a new plan offering 10 GB of data at 4G speeds for Rs 1,000. However, remember that at 4G speeds, you can exhaust this limit within a few hours if not careful.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; padding: 0px 0px 15px;">
Incidentally, the company said that while data browsing will be on 4G network, voice calls will be routed on 2G/3G with the CSFB (circuit switched fall back) technology.</div>

However, with this launch users can have the experience of 4G on their mobile. To attract more users, Airtel has said the facility would be available at the current 3G plan prices. Not a bad offer for mobile users who at the 3 G price can avail 4 G speed.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; font-family: CharisSILRegular, Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
It is not known how long customers will get this benefit. The service was launched by Srini Gopalan, Director – Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel India. “We will help customers in Bangalore upgrade to 4G LTE technology at no additional cost,” he said.</div>
<div style="border: 0px; font-family: CharisSILRegular, Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
Also, he informed customers that to avail the facility they have to change their existing SIM to a 4G SIM to start using 4G on mobile. The only plus point is that they don’t have to take new data plan. Though not a bad idea, the only hitch is of purchasing 4G SIM. This too will not stop buffs from laying their hands and enjoying the 4G at the 3G price. Once the service gets overwhelming response in Bangalore, it is understood that the company will take it to other parts of the country also.</div>

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 gives users an options overload over Apple's iPhone 5

Unknown 0 Apple, Apple iPhone 5, Gadgets, iPhone, iPhone 5, Samsung, Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Galaxy S4, Smartphone, Technology 8.1.14

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
The Galaxy S4, the fastest-selling Android in history, gives users plenty to try out, from several camera features to an "air gesture" sensor. If you like a lot of flashy options, the phone may be a better fit for you.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjqUEA9Vl3595mjN6WFyICVVJItBTILOIpfXX-tnULZzM5pDrqrActmrRuBMToVF-7_FIbrVBbXnu79UfSupK6bmKWTCiKCK6toXyPMbC3qCghtvUUiRhFG0JWLAWWHGX-GndKZzPsDwxH/s1600/split-galaxy31-0530-web.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjqUEA9Vl3595mjN6WFyICVVJItBTILOIpfXX-tnULZzM5pDrqrActmrRuBMToVF-7_FIbrVBbXnu79UfSupK6bmKWTCiKCK6toXyPMbC3qCghtvUUiRhFG0JWLAWWHGX-GndKZzPsDwxH/s1600/split-galaxy31-0530-web.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
he Samsung Galaxy S4 (l.), the fastest-selling Android of all time since its April debut, is taking on Apple’s popular iPhone 5.<br />
If bigger is better, Samsung’s Galaxy S4 dwarfs arch-rival the iPhone 5.<br />
<br />
But when deciding which smartphone is worth the price, consider more than size. Personality counts, too.<br />
<br />
Do you prefer an overload of options, or is a simpler experience more your speed?<br />
<br />
While Tech Guru founder Daniel Moshe says the iPhone 5 continues Apple’s tradition of an easy-to-use device that “you can’t screw up,” Samsung’s flagship smartphone is all about stirring the senses.<br />
<br />
“It’s striking. It’s really impressive,” said Moshe, who runs a Minneapolis-based IT support company. “They’ve come a long way from making these ugly plastic things to a sharper-looking phone.”<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
J.K. Shin, president of Samsung, shows off the new Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone at Radio City Music Hall.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Galaxy S4, which Samsung announced last week is the fastest-selling Android phone in history, bills itself as a “life companion.” As an evolved version of its predecessor, the Galaxy S III, this upgrade has Google’s latest Android OS, a thinner design with a larger 5-inch screen and a 13-megapixel rear camera.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Compared to the iPhone 5’s 8 megapixels, pics on the Galaxy S4 appear more vibrant and with a better zoom function. There’s also a 2-megapixel front camera that allows you to simultaneoulsy snap a picture of yourself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can also take pics with a voice command or employ an “eraser” mode to wipe out blurry parts of an image.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Other unique features include a sensor software that reads your eye movement — web pages scroll automatically and videos pause when you look away from the screen.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And as another add-on, the phone has an “air gesture” option. If you hover your finger over a part of the screen, it magnifies that area, or you can wave your hand above the device to answer a call or swipe through the phone’s picture gallery.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But indulging your inner Jedi takes some getting used to, and only seems practical if you’re in the middle of eating.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKFMQZwGTAL5i3UetAB-EDSuVjQRC0jVsFQkuGJfnxO6QJAGEF13vXLv2maUdEyPQo573a_EsVXUo7yzIzfVwwcxoaCmKVlSlv9Wm4MdoCu9YlUdNY_tShsM-TVRS2br8jb78nYFEsmfEc/s1600/article-samsung3-0314.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKFMQZwGTAL5i3UetAB-EDSuVjQRC0jVsFQkuGJfnxO6QJAGEF13vXLv2maUdEyPQo573a_EsVXUo7yzIzfVwwcxoaCmKVlSlv9Wm4MdoCu9YlUdNY_tShsM-TVRS2br8jb78nYFEsmfEc/s1600/article-samsung3-0314.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone features touch-free control, which allows users to maneuver apps by hovering their fingers over them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Overall, the phone takes into consideration that you’re probably a multitasker. A “multi window” option allows you to toggle between your Gmail, web browser and other apps without exiting those programs.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And if you’re a fan of accessories, the phone is compatible with Samsung’s TecTiles 2, which uses the NFC (Near Field Communications) technology. The TecTiles are square stickers used to auto launch an app or change the phone’s settings whenever you hold the Galaxy S4 over it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For instance, you can stick a TecTile tag in your car and program it to open Google Maps.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Or simply, open apps with your voice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Not to be outsmarted by the iPhone’s voice-activated personal assistant, Siri, the Galaxy S4 has its own worthy nemesis — Google Now.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The feature automatically alerts you to real-time traffic, weather updates and news stories you might want to share based on your preferences.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
With so many bells ‘n whistles to sort out, the phone provides a lot of flash, which is good — as long as it suits your personality.</div>

This coincides with the rumor that the next iPhone may adopt iPad Air's best feature, which is the thinnest tablet developed.<br />
<br />
In contrast, the report added the iPhone 6 may become heavier due to the adoption of metal equipment. There are reports that iPhone 6 will make full use of Liquidmetal on its casing and screen display. Apple used Liquidmetal before but in very minimal quantity.<br />
<br />
The Korean publication also agreed the smartphone will be released in September. Current rumors said the full-fledged iPhone 6 and the successor of iPhone 5S will arrive in September, a year after the iPhone 5S and 5C were introduced.<br />
<br />
However, a recent report from Yahoo! Japan said an iPhone phablet starting a new smartphone line will be released in May. The report added the phablet will come with 5.7-inch or bigger screen display but will not feature the upcoming A8 processor. But it will be powered by iPhone 5S' 64-bit A7 processor. This was supported by a report from C Technology which cited two Foxconn insiders who tipped that two iPhones are coming this year.<br />
<br />
These rumors should be treated as a grain of salt until Apple confirmed the iPhone 6 official specs and features. The company remained hushed on the ongoing rumors but the alleged two new iPhones may be part of Apple's "big plans" this year hinted by company's CEO Tim Cook in his letter to the employees.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, A8 processor and iOS 8 are some of the rumored features of the next iPhone. The TouchID fingerprint sensor will be improved with additional features and capabilities. Apple patents suggested iPhone 6 will pack curved or flexible screen embedded by durable material called Liquidmetal and reinforced by Sapphire glass covering, a refocusable light camera, an improved Siri and gestures control.</div>
